A move-out cleaning checklist for condo tenants
What inspectors usually check, and how to get the room ready for handover.

A tidy handover makes moving out smoother. Here are the spots inspectors usually check, so your clean covers them.
Kitchen
The fridge should be dry and odour-free — leave the door open after unplugging. Grease builds up behind the hob and around the hood.
Bathroom
Limescale on the shower screen and taps is the first thing people notice. Scrub dark grout at least a day before handover so it dries.
Walls and floors
Tape marks and nail holes follow your lease terms; fingerprints around switches come off with a damp cloth and mild cleaner.
Take photos
Photograph every room after cleaning, with the date, as a record of the handover.
